Philoptochos is the women’s philanthropic organization of the Greek Orthodox Church. This society is devoted to helping individuals, families and organizations in need. Money is raised through various fundraising efforts, such as the sale of spanikopita rolls, Christmas and Easter bread and Mother’s Day tribute cards. In addition to fundraising, Philoptochos performs several important duties for the church throughout the year.
