The Greek Orthodox Youth of America includes teenagers from age 13 (or seventh grade) through age 18.  These young people enjoy each other’s company while participating in a mix of religious, social and athletic activities.  Meetings are held on Sunday following services.

GOYA hosts the Sunday coffee hour following Services.  If any one wishes to sponsor a memorial coffee, the current GOYA President should be contacted.  A fee is charged by GOYA for the sponsorship and is paid directly to GOYA.

Volleyball and basketball are the athletic side of GOYA.  Goyans participating in these sports travel to regional and district tournaments throughout the tri-state area.  Besides sports, they host the annual Senior Citizens Luncheon complete with entertainment.  And they kick up their heels with dancing during our Food Festival!

GOYANS make palm crosses for Palm Sunday and decorate the Epitaphio for Holy Friday services.  The St. Nicholas Day Bazaar would not be complete without their famous Goldfish and Games booths.

GOYA activities for April, May, and June:

In April, the Goyans participated in youth Sunday in which they handled all of the board members' duties including passing the trays in church, taking care of the candles, as well as dismissal. They then presented the board with a $5000.00 check to be put towards the St. Nicholas Renovation Fund.

APRIL: on April 25th, Good Friday, the GOYANS were in church to decorate the Epitaphio -- which looked beautiful! They attended an informal discussion with Father Serviou, and then joined the JOYans for the lenten lunch. Then everyone attended the 1:30 Entombment service. It was a really beautiful day!
